Personal credit reportsPersonal credit reports show you the same information that lenders, landlords, employers, auto dealers, and credit card companies see when deciding whether or not to grant credit to you, rent an apartment, or give you a job. Three companies, Experian, Equifax, and Trans Union maintain separate credit files on you if you have a credit history. Much information is the same on all three reports, but you will often see differences. To get a quick look, choose the "see your report online" option. For a detailed report showing the information from all three bureaus, choose the "All three bureaus in a single report" option. To keep track of new entries as they occur throughout the year, choose the "credit report monitoring" option.
